The magazine Perspectivas is put together through the hard work of an Editorial Board of Directors. Editorial positions have changed over the years according to the needs of the magazine. Currently, a Board consists of 6-9 voting members:

There is also one non-voting member:

  • Publisher & Executive Editor (the instructor of the course)

There is a ranking system which rewards dedicated and hard-working Editors. The Publisher & Executive Editor (i.e., the course instructor) may award "senior" followed by "distinguished" rank to deserving editors who have received excellent evaluations from their fellow board members. For example, a "copy editor" can become "senior copy editor" followed by "distinguished copy editor." Approximately 50-60% of editors achieve "senior" rank and only about 20-30% are awarded "distinguished" rank.

  • Editor-in-Chief: 1 elected student.

  • Production Editor(s): 1-2 elected student.

  • Copy Editors: 2-3 elected students.

  • Developmental Editors: 2-3 elected students.
